A PERSONAL NOTE FROM MARY
A letter to
our families.
Dear Parent,
At C2 English School, we believe that learning a language goes far beyond grammar and vocabulary. It is about communication, confidence and connection.
Our study holidays in Ireland are designed to help each teenager feel at home, cared for and comfortable enough to use English in real situations. Because our groups are genuinely small, we get to know the young people who stay with us — not simply their level of English.
They live and learn alongside the C2 team. We see them in lessons, at the table, during activities and on excursions. That closeness allows us to encourage them when they need confidence, challenge them when they are ready, and notice the small moments of progress that are easy to miss in a large programme.
Outside the classroom, language comes alive.
A conversation over breakfast, explaining something during an activity, spending time with Irish teenagers, ordering food or laughing together in the evening can matter just as much as a formal exercise. English gradually stops feeling like a school subject and starts becoming something they can use.
Of course, as a parent, you are trusting us with much more than English. You need to know who is looking after your child, where they are sleeping and whether somebody will notice if they are tired, quiet, worried or simply having an off day. We take that responsibility personally.
Our aim is simple: that your teenager goes home with stronger English, but also with greater confidence, independence and very good memories of Ireland.
And if you are considering C2 and would like to talk before making any decision, please do. I am always happy to answer the questions that matter to your family.
