🎧 Listen & Repeat: English Irregular Verbs

Video Pronunciation Lesson

This guided video lesson helps you master 150 common English irregular verbs through real sentences and clear pronunciation.

You will listen, repeat, and practise each verb in context, hearing how it is naturally used in:

  • Base form

  • Past Simple

  • Past Participle

Each sentence is pronounced slowly and clearly, giving you time to repeat and build confidence.

How to use this 51-minute video lesson (recommended)

This is a full listen-and-repeat training session. To get the best results, don’t try to do all 150 verbs in one sitting.

Option A — Daily micro-sessions (best for progress)

  • Do 8–12 minutes per day.

  • For each verb: listen once → repeat twice (aim for clear rhythm, not speed).

  • At the end of your session: rewind 60–90 seconds and repeat the last few verbs again.

Option B — 3 sessions per week (faster)

  • Do 15–20 minutes per session.

  • On the second pass, repeat the sentence one extra time and copy the stress/intonation.

Option C — Exam / interview sprint

  • Focus on pronunciation + speed:

    • First pass: repeat normally.

    • Second pass (same section): repeat slightly faster, keeping clarity.

What to listen for

For each verb you will practise:

  • Base form

  • Past Simple

  • Past Participle

…and then a real example sentence (listen & repeat).

Quick self-check (30 seconds)

After a short section, pause and ask yourself:

  • Can I say the 3 forms without looking?

  • Can I repeat the sentence with the same stress and linking?

Optional “Level-Up” challenge

On a second attempt of the same section:

  • Cover the screen and repeat using only audio.

  • Then say your own sentence with the same verb form.
